Under the leadership of our founders, we have been promoting the reputation of the profession for 30 years with tireless and dedicated work, taking care of the quality and professional development of our employees, and by focusing on improving the user experience, we contribute and serve the overall well-being of the local community.
We have 30 years of successful company operations behind us, during which we grew as individuals and as a team, resisted the challenges of the market, the instabilities that each time brings with it, and bravely stepped into new ventures.
Our success is the result of the vision of our founders, joint persistence and a lot of will. The services of sustainable, innovative and effective water treatment solutions reflect the synergy of tireless acquisition of knowledge, skills and experiences.
The success of our company dates back to March 1991 in Novo Čiče, near Velika Gorica, when the founders Dana and Milan Vuković, after ten years of experience working in a craft workshop, decided to go in a new direction and lead the company into uncertain entrepreneurial challenges.
The modest beginning of the first years was defined by work in a home office, and frequently traveling by private car when 3M was small business with just one employee.
Although in modest working conditions, there was no lack of enthusiasm, so in the next few years the company will intensively develop sales, installation and service of ProMinent’s dosing and measuring-regulation technology.
In the midst of the Homeland War, due to the specifics of the situation regarding the supply, and especially the disinfection of drinking water, the company dared to introduce a technological innovation: In 1992, the first chlorine dioxide water treatment dosing system was installed in the Garešnica Waterworks. Then, in 1993 and 1994, the equipment was installed in the Zagreb (Oporovec), Rijeka (Bakar) water supply systems, and after the Operation Storm in 1995 (the last major battle of the Croatian War of Independence ), along with the donated devices, the installation and use of chlorine dioxide water treatment dosing system began in numerous water supply systems.
Today, the overall number of installed and working chlorine-dioxide-based devices in Croatia is above 170, which makes the company a regional leader in this technique and puts it alongside the large and developed countries of Western Europe.ly traveling by private car when 3M was a small business with just one employee.
The year 1998 marked the beginning of the first production in our company – the production of devices and systems for softening water (softeners). Over time, this widely applicable and ubiquitous product has become an indispensable part of every technological system in the preparation and treatment of water.
We continue to introduce disinfection technologies that were previously unknown in our market, with which the 3M company leads the way in production and installation and is the leader in the local market to this day.
In 2001, the largest UV system for water disinfection was installed in the Buzet waterworks with a capacity of 330 l/s.
3M celebrated its tenth anniversary as a stable company with a growing reputation and a clear commitment to introducing new trends and technologies in the water treatment industry.
In the same year, in the newly built commercial property in Novo Čiče, on 250 square meters of office and storage space, nine employees of different professions, who perform engineering, service, and administrative work, were accommodated.
Numerous companies and service industries such as water supply, pharmaceutical, food, wood, chemical, brewing industry, production and processing of paper, glass, tobacco, and ceramics, as well as the energy, tourism, and hotel industries use our equipment and services.
The presence on the market of branched activities presents us with new requirements and challenges. Therefore in 2003, we stepped into another technological innovation – reverse osmosis membrane technology.
Some of our first reverse osmosis systems were installed in the facilities of food and beverage industry – the Zagreb companies Badel and Bobita Čitluk, and then in the company Danica Podravka, Dukat, and others.
Five years later, in 2008, we started independent production of reverse osmosis systems. The installation of these devices brought us numerous important references, such as Pliva, INA, Podravka, and many others.
In 2009, for the petrochemical industry and plants of DIOKI d.d. In Zagreb, a reverse osmosis system with a 150 m3/h flow rate capacity was manufactured and installed, which is the largest capacity in the territory of the Republic of Croatia, and at that time also regionally.
With the development of the tourism and hotel industry in Croatia, this technology becomes necessary for water supply of islands and all areas with a naturally-induced lack of drinking water or water supply problems during the tourist season. So in 2010, we installed the first drinking water desalination system on the island of Krk. Numerous small waterworks, hotels and campsites on the islands and the coast, from Istria through Kvarner and central Dalmatia all the way to Dubrovnik followed.
Nowadays, desalination systems for generating drinkable water are an almost indispensable part of modern tourist destinations, which thus ensures the supply of quality drinking water.
In the same year, 2010, we moved to a newly built office building with 1,100 m2 of production and storage space and 500 m2 of office space with twenty-one employees at the time.
In 2011, our company became a vibrant “twenty-year-old” with dynamic market operations and an acquired reputation in the design, production, installation, and maintenance of water treatment equipment and systems.
The dynamic business environment and the opening of European markets brought new opportunities, and customers were looking for innovative, reliable, and modern solutions. New ideas and technologies were developed and applied, generating greater output. The variety of products led to the growth of production capacities.
The same year we also mastered membrane ultrafiltration technology, and we installed the first devices at the Strmac location near Nova Gradiška for the needs of St. Raphael.
Due to the declared natural disaster of drought in the area of Istria and the impossibility of sufficient supply of drinking water to the southern part of the peninsula, especially to the city of Pula, in 2012, at the height of the tourist season, we are accepting a challenge: As soon as possible, we are putting old wells in the vicinity of the city into operation, into which we are installing ultrafiltration facilities water.
In 2014, we produced and installed the largest water ultrafiltration plant in the Senj waterworks, with a 400 m3/h flow rate capacity.
Our corporate basis is tradition and long-standing service variety.
Like any successful company, ours has also changed its organizational structure, reshaped, and upgraded. Today it forms a homogeneous system of development, production, sales, administration, and after-sales support departments.
We have completed numerous demanding projects that include combinations of different technologies and complex engineering knowledge in the fields of mechanical engineering, technological design, electronics, and automation.
Behind us are numerous successful presentations and lectures at seminars, conferences, and gatherings in the water and energy sector (Croatia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia) and numerous written works that educate professionals and future customers, promote innovative solutions, propose improvements and improvements that keep pace with time, lifestyle and requirements for the preservation of the environment and water resources.
Today, 30 years after founding the 3M company, its founders are in a well-deserved retirement.
But the story goes on.
The strength of our company is in its name, and potential in its experience. Our 25 employees are our most valuable treasure.
We thank all of them for their loyalty and contribution to this company – many of them contribute with over ten, twenty, or more years of work.
